Empowering families and students through the use of social media and new technologies as leaders advocating and mobilizing for high quality equitable education.

Our Voice is a nonprofit organization that uses 21st Century technologies to empower Latino and Indigenous immigrant families so that they can actively participate in the betterment of public education in Los Angeles. We offer an online space that is culturally and linguistically sensitive, safe, and trusted, to educate, inform, engage, and empower.

Our Impact

Our Voice is building a powerful movement for public education transformation. Since 2020, Our Voice has mentored student interns and fellows, hosted dozens of bilingual online conversations, led advocacy meetings with civic leaders, workshops, and created thousands of online posts that inform and empower students and parents.

These actions reflect more than outreach; they represent a growing movement for high-quality public education that is driven by the very families and students. With continued donor support, we can expand our reach and ensure every family has a voice in shaping public education.

  • "Our Voice has changed my life. It has taught me that when we have the desire to help other people, it is possible to do this. It has helped me grow as a person, as a mother, as a friend and as a spouse since I have learned so much through the different presentations offered."
